Madison Village and Town
There are so many reasons to consider MCS for your family, including our amazing community!
We’re in the Great Outdoors. We’re close to great parks, hiking, snowshoeing, boating, hunting, fishing and more! If all that isn’t really your style, we have a sand beach and local playground at Madison Lake Park and it’s free to town residents. We also house one end of the Chenango Canal Towpath Trail.
We’re an Antique Hotbed. For a week every summer, we are the center of the antique world. Read more about the Madison-Bouckville Antique Week.
We’re Environmentally Conscious. Our community supported the first wind farm in New York State, which now generates enough energy for 10,000 homes and helps reduce our carbon footprint.
We Support Public Services. Our small community supports a paid paramedic unit to provide quick medical support to our residents. Our municipal water system is continually updated and reviewed. Our volunteer fire department members benefit from current equipment and training. And we station a crossing guard at the school to protect our children.
We have Madison Pride. Our restaurants and businesses are owned and operated by local residents. Many different community groups – including our Rotary Club, Optimist Club, Fire Department, Erie Canal Association, local church groups and MCS students – worked together to make the Village of Madison's bicentennial celebration a huge success.
