MADISON, NY - The Madison PTO will be offering a series of life skills seminars in the coming months designed to prepare students for life beyond high school. The series, called “Adulting 101”, will begin after school on Monday, February 12th.
This free program is for students in 11th and 12th grades, and each session will be between one and two hours in length.
The inaugural meeting will feature representatives from the Madison County Board of Elections, who will present regarding how to exercise one’s right to vote, and how the electoral process works on the local level. That meeting will begin at 4 PM.
Future topics will include a variety of wellness, financial literacy, career searching, and home and auto maintenance seminars.
As part of the classes, students will receive the opportunity to enter for one of two scholarships in the amount of 200 dollars from the PTO. They will receive one entry per class they attend. Those will be awarded at graduation.
