Summer Learning at MCS

We had an amazing summer of interactive learning at Madison!

Our 2024 Summer LEAP enrichment program provided students with four weeks of hands-on activities focused around the “Soaring into Summer” theme. STEM-based lessons included physics of flight, including hot air balloons, airplanes and drones; and environmental science, including recycling, building bird nests and planting seedlings.

Thanks to all of our guest presenters for taking time to talk with our students: Cornell Cooperative Extension, The Great Swamp Conservancy, Airborne Adventures Ballooning and a local paramotor pilot!

In addition, Madison Connected Community Schools coordinated our Summer Reading program, a four-week series of evening meetings featuring a book and related activity. Thanks to the Hamilton Public Library and the Oriskany Falls Rotary Club for supporting the program.
